bmd offers you a PARASITOCHROME range for the safe and reliable transport, storage, filtration and concentration of faecal parasites.
Parasitological faecal testing is used to diagnose intestinal parasitosis.
This disease causes diarrhoea accompanied by other symptoms which vary depending on the parasites in question.
The test consists of detecting the parasite directly by means of microscope observation (after specific treatments performed on the sample).
A large number of different agents may be involved (agents transmitted by contaminated food and hands, following travel to an endemic or non-endemic area, emergence of parasites in immunocompromised subjects which are referred to as opportunistic as they are non-pathogenic in healthy subjects).
For treating stools, think of PARASITOCHROME PLUS.
- Some parasitic forms are infectious from their transmission and very resistant in the outside environment. They require secure handling. Parasitochrome Plus is a clean disposable system, which reduces the risk of contamination. Convenient and quick, this kit allows you to store vegetative forms, making it possible to postpone testing. The reagents are ready-to-use and the shelf-life is greater than 15 months. Finally, this kit is reliable, supplying one reagent per patient. 4 kits are available: M.I.F., COMPOSITE (MIF+BAILENGER), BAILENGER, and "COMBI"
